Intersection Volume Counts are performed by placing machine counters on each of the legs of an intersection and counting all approaching vehicles. This type of count is used for such analysis as what type of traffic control may be required at the location. Each report includes the hourly volumes, 15 minute intervals and peak hour analysis. You will note on the peak hour analysis sheet that each leg may have a different peak than the intersection itself. We give you all the information needed to perform a proper intersection study.
This type of count is also useful for those working with Commercial Real Estate as it shows the street exposure of the adjacent properties. |
